Children   7-11 years old , in general, all the hustle and bustle, and they are tired for a long time. The transition from one topic to another saves the matter. I start classes with simple.We make optical toys together, study silhouette, draw on paper, head, human body, animals, study our own hands, on the subject of how to make a cartoon out of them, or at least make of one's own hand from one of the personages. Although in my experience, the desire to do this painstaking work on my own, without the help of parents, appears in children, usually only from 14-15 years.

Nevertheless, after seeing the first result, the child knows what awaits him at the end and is ready to work. Especially if the cartoon is the creation of collective creativity. Here, just my main task is to wind up the raging fantasy and not let the children run too far ahead, and soberly assess the effort. Said - one hero, then one hero. I complicate the following task, put into action second character, background, setting.

In parallel we study draw, sculpt, study the shape, human, animals, volume, proportions, introduce the concept of plans.

For older children, the opinion of others becomes important, it is important to show their work, to make it right, to enter the society with their cartoon and to please other people, to win over the audience, even if it's only mom, dad and grandfather and friends. . It's all very good. In Vgik and other educational institutions, the future artists of animators and directors are taught mastery, but the main thing is that they instill a definite worldview.Perhaps this is the main task of all educational institutions and not only creative ones. The worldview is a complex phenomenon of man's spiritual world, and consciousness, it becomes the foundation of all life. It gives man "an integral system of values, ideals, receptions and models for life " (vinipedia). For example, teaching in a certain high creative atmosphere gives one important skill - to distinguish good creativity from bad. High from low. A good movie from the bad. A good book from the bad. Good painting from bad. After all, a person perfectly feels and understands the difference in food - tasty and tasteless. But with the "absorption" of food for the soul, the choice between harmful, low and valuable, good can not be done simply. To do this, it is important to know what to watch, what to read and to watch properly. Even if a person does not become a director or a cinema artist, he can become a competent spectator. At least a good film, a cartoon in which there is morality, intelligence and beauty.
In VGIK we every Thursday, almost all day, necessarily saw different movies and cartoons. The best, entering the gold fund, new, newest, Soviet, Russian, foreign. After all, every talented, well-made film makes the viewer think, makes to make a moral choice, because one of the characters can be bad, another good. The future animator and director should watch a lot of cartoons with the task of learning to watch, it means: to notice how the cartoon is made, in what technique, how it differs from the usual one, to note what emotions a particular film causes, talk about it with relatives, (here need help from mothers, dads and grandmothers), talk about heroes of bad and good, about their differences in appearance, character, behavior, talk about their feelings, learns to compare one cartoon with another, try to portray your favorite hero.

HOW IT'S DONE?
