1. To begin, attach the lock to the canvas and make markings. It is necessary to note the position of the holes for fastenings, pins, well exit, etc. Please take into account that overhead models are usually placed higher than mortise ones, that is, at a comfortable level for using the latch.
2. Install the mounting pins on the metal door.
3. Using the previously made marks, drill a hole for the well exit to the outside of the door.
4. Attach the overhead mechanism to the pins on the room side.
5. Check the operation of the lock and, if everything is in order, screw the housing onto the blade. WITH reverse side the cover is installed.
6. An overhead block is used to fix the crossbars. It is screwed onto the opposite side of the box. To do this, drill holes in the frame and cut the threads. Then tighten the panel with screws. It is important to maintain the exact location of the counter part relative to the main lock. Otherwise, the crossbars will not fit into the recesses intended for them.
7. In some overhead models, you can cut standard recesses in the box with a counter plate. To do this, one condition must be met: the box must protrude to the level of the lock. This mainly applies to wooden structures, but metal models can also be designed in this way.
